Booking Terms and Conditions

This is a summary of my key Booking Terms and Conditions. It should not be a substitute for reading the full version below.

  • Please check all details and any restrictions relating to your treatment thoroughly before booking.

  • Please ensure that any medical or other allergy/health information is disclosed to myself before your treatment begins.

  • Revival Massage Therapy reserves the right to cancel a clients booking in the event of a breach of these Booking Terms and Conditions and/or where the client acts in a way that is inappropriate, abusive or otherwise unacceptable towards myself, either in communications via phone, social media or email, or in person at the appointment location.

  • If you want to reschedule or cancel a Dated Booking (and provided that rescheduling or cancellation (as applicable) is not prohibited by these Booking Terms and Conditions) this can be requested and completed by either:

    • Phone call

    • Email

    • Text Message

    • Social Media Direct Message

  • If you want to cancel a treatment, you must contact me direct.

  • Cancellations/Rescheduling of treatments must be made with 24hrs notice or full payment is required. If your appointment can be filled, payment is not required.

  • Rules regarding cancellation of a purchased Gift Voucher.

    • If you have purchased a Gift Voucher, this cannot be refunded. It is transferable and you may sell on the gift voucher. The new owner of the gift voucher must be disclosed to myself once the transfer has been completed.

 

Full Version

Please read these Booking Terms and Conditions carefully before you request a booking via email, text or social media messaging as these Booking Terms and Conditions will apply to your booking. If you do not agree with these Booking Terms and Conditions, I am not the right therapist for you and would not be in a position to treat you.

  1. Defined Terms

    1. For ease of reference the following terms shall have the following meanings in these Booking Terms and Conditions:

      1. “Client“, “you” and “your” means you, the buyer of any Treatment;

      2. “Dated Booking” means an appointment at a specific time/date with myself for the provision of a treatment whether made via email, text or social media;

      3. “Order” has the meaning given in section 2.1 below;

      4. “Order Confirmation” has the meaning given in section 2.4 below;

      5. “Treatment” means any treatment or gift voucher,  offered for purchase or booking via email, text or social media;

      6. “Booking” means a Dated Booking for a treatment at an agreed location or booked via email, text or social media;

      7. “Gift Voucher” means any gift voucher issued by Revival Massage Therapy and which may be redeemed by email, text or social media

  2. Orders and how the contract is formed between you and I

    1. There are two types of order (“Order“) you can make via email, text or social media: (a) Orders for a Treatment and (b) Orders for Revival Massage Therapy Gift Voucher.

    2. In respect of Orders for Services, there are two ways you can place your Order:

      1. a Dated Booking; or

      2. the purchase of a Gift Voucher.

    3. For Dated Bookings, if you wish to reschedule your appointment details (time/date) after you have received a Confirmation, provided your appointment is not due to take place within the next 24 hours, then please contact me via your original booking method, and I will endeavour to offer you a suitable alternative time and/or date. Please note that my ability to accommodate your request will be subject to my availability during the time you wish to reschedule. If I am unable to accommodate your request to reschedule your appointment, whether or not you are eligible for a refund will depend on whether or not your appointment is due to take place in the next 24 hours.

      1. If your appointment is not due to take place within the next 24 hours, your appointment will be treated as cancelled by you and you will not be required to make payment; or

      2. If your appointment is due to take place within the next 24 hours, your appointment will be treated as cancelled by you and you will not receive a refund/ you will be required to make full payment.

    4. Order Confirmation will be given in the form of an ‘Appointment Confirmation’ and sent via the same method in which you made the booking with Revival Massage Therapy.Please note you cannot reschedule your appointment details (time/date) (in whole or in part) where your appointment is due to take place within the next 1 hour

  3. Services

    1. If you are a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to services that are not performed with reasonable care and skill or are otherwise not as described. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office. Nothing in these Booking Terms and Conditions will affect these legal rights.

    2. It is your (or the person receiving the Services) sole responsibility to communicate in advance any medical or health-related conditions and/or special needs to myself that might affect or be affected by your Treatment (for example without limitation, allergy information and health issues). Subject to clause 8.3, if you (or the relevant recipient of the Treatment) fail to disclose any such information to myself, I shall not be liable to you (or the recipient of the Treatment) for any injury, loss or damages resulting from the Treatment that could reasonably have been avoided if you (or the recipient of the Treatment) had disclosed that information prior to receiving the Treatment.

  4.  Cancellations

    1. In addition to your other legal rights, you may in certain circumstances have the right to cancel our Contract (as applicable) and receive a refund or a credit note in accordance with the terms set out in this clause 5.

    2. If you change your mind about a Dated Booking or a Revival Massage Therapy Gift Voucher and wish to cancel it, the following cancellation terms apply:

      1. ​

      2. Dated Bookings

          1. You may cancel a Dated Booking up to 24 hours prior to your appointment taking place and payment will not be due. However, if you cancel within the 24 hours prior to your appointment taking place, you will not be eligible for a refund and will be liable for the full amount.

          2. Cancellations of Dated Bookings  must be made by your original booking method.

          3. PLEASE NOTE THAT NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN WHERE A CANCELLATION IS ATTEMPTED 24 HOURS OR LESS FROM THE TIME OF THE SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT. FULL PAYMENT IN THIS INSTANCE WILL BE REQUIRED UNLESS THE TIME/DATE CAN BE FILLED.

      3. Revival Massage Therapy  Gift Vouchers:

            1. A refund of the applicable amount via the original method of payment is possible if you cancel a Revival Massage Therapy Gift Voucher within 14 days of receiving your Order Confirmation, provided you have not already used it to book an appointment or redeemed it against a treatment. I will grant any refund due within 14 days of agreeing such refund with you in accordance with this clause 5.

            2. If permitted by these Booking Terms and Conditions, cancellations of Revival Massage Therapy Gift Voucher must be made by contacting me using your original contact  method.

            3. PLEASE NOTE THAT NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN WHERE A CANCELLATION IS ATTEMPTED ONCE A REVIVAL MASSAGE THERAPY GIFT VOUCHER HAS BEEN FULLY REDEEMED.

  5. Resolving Issues

    1. I care about your experience and want to ensure I maintain the highest standards possible and so if you would like to make a complaint about a Treatment, please either:

      1. speak to the in person at the time to try and resolve the issue;

      2. please contact me via email.

    2. Following receipt of a complaint I will contact you to try and resolve the issue. If I am unable to resolve the issue following contact with you, if I consider it to be fair in all the circumstances, I may at my sole discretion elect to:

      1. give you a credit for the disputed/complained about amount of your Order; or

      2. as a last resort or in extreme circumstances and always at my sole discretion refund the disputed/complained about amount directly to you via the original method of payment. Please note that it might take up to 30 days to receive a full refund in such cases.

  6. Revival Massage Therapy GIFT VOUCHER

    1. Revival Massage Therapy  Gift Vouchers are issued by Revival Massage Therapy. You may only redeem a Revival Massage Therapy  Gift Voucher against Revival Massage Therapy for Orders placed

    2. All  Gift Vouchers are only valid for the period of twelve months after the date of their purchase.

    3. You are responsible for keeping your Revival Massage Therapy Gift Voucher safe and I do not accept liability for  Gift Vouchers that are lost, stolen, damaged or used without authority. If you are aware that a Revival Massage Therapy Gift Voucher has been lost or stolen, you should contact me immediately via your original method of contact and, provided the Gift Voucher has not already been redeemed, I will cancel the Gift Voucher and issue you with a new one.

  7. Price and Payment 

    1. Prices will be as quoted on the Website but may be subject to change by Revival Massage Therapy at any time (in which case the Website will be updated accordingly).

    2. Payments can be made via Bank Transfer or cash.

    3. For all Dated Bookings, there is an option for you to make a “Pay at Venue” cash payment.

    4. Bank Transfers must be cleared in my account prior to your treatment taking place.

  8. Liability

    1. I do not accept any liability for the following types of loss, whether caused by breach of contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, even if the loss is foreseeable: loss of income or revenue; loss of business; loss of profits; loss of anticipated savings; or waste of management or office time.

    2. I do not exclude or limit my liability for death or personal injury arising from my negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

  9. My right to vary these Booking Terms and Conditions

    1. I may revise these Booking Terms and Conditions from time to time in the following circumstances:

      1. if I change the process for accepting payment from you;

      2. if there are changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements; and/or

      3. if there are any other changes to our business that reasonably mean I need to amend these Booking Terms and Conditions.

    2. Every time you book a treatment or Revival Massage Therapy Gift Cards via email/text/soical media, the Booking Terms and Conditions in force at that time (and available for view on the Website) will apply to the Revival Massage Therapy Contract between you and I. You can find the date on which these Booking Terms and Conditions were last updated at the top of this page.

  10. General

    1. All communications and notices from you must be sent via your original booking method. Revival Massage Therapy may communicate and give notice to you via text, social media messaging, email or by text message.

    2. Revival Massage Therapy reserves the right to cancel a clients booking in the event of a breach of these Booking Terms and Conditions and/or where the client acts in a way that is inappropriate, abusive or otherwise unacceptable towards myself, either in communications via phone, social media or email, or in person at the appointment location.

    3. If any of these Booking Terms and Conditions are determined by a competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent, such term, condition or provision will to that extent be severed from the remaining terms, conditions and provisions which will continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.

    4. These Booking Terms and Conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England. You and we each agree that the English courts will have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any claim or dispute arising from, or related to, the ordering and/or supply of Treatments or Gift Vouchers.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST TREATMENT?

It is best to wear comfortable, loose-fitted clothing to your treatment. Gym clothing is ideal, as it's easy to slip on and off and is super comfortable. You may undress to your own level of comfort, however undergarments on the lower half of your body must be worn.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST TREATMENT?

When you arrive, we will discuss the reason you have come in for treatment. So that we can get a better understanding of what the problem may be and what any contributing factors are I will ask you questions about any health issues you may have, medications you are taking, your lifestyle and previous injuries. We will also talk about what you are hoping to achieve from your visit.

Once a case history has been completed you will be requested to remove appropriate items of outer clothing, I advise that you wear suitable underwear and can bring loose fitting shorts. You are always welcome to bring a chaperone with you to appointments. Most first appointments will include a postural assessment, ranges of movement and a visual / manual assessment of the area of pain.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER MY FIRST TREATMENT?

It usually takes 24-48 hours to feel the full effect of a sports massage after which you should feel comfortable, rejuvenated and refreshed.
